allow one to resolve an error but have it reappear if it reoccurs.
If I close or ignore an error, I've silenced it forever, which is almost never what I want to do. I'm forced to keep every error open just in case it appears again.
You should “close” the error in such a case. That behaves exactly as you want – it’s hidden away from view (visible under “Closed errors”), but pops back into your “Open errors” listing if it recurs.
Perhaps there is some window where if new error arrives close to the old error, the error is not reopened? That's new behavior I'm seeing now.
That sounds good, but it's not the behavior I'm experiencing. When I trigger an error, then close it, then retrigger the error, I don't see it in Open Errors. The error I'm testing with is https://errorception.com/projects/555e565790f66327760000d0/errors/5567e09482151582d41c3651 .
